Many PC users complained about a „black hole” in the segment of DDR3 memories between 1333 and 2000MHz. The clock of the first ones was too slow, while the latter were too expensive. The new GOODRAM Play series with the clock speed of 1600 MHz is expected to fill in this niche.

The only RAM producer in Europe, a Polish company Wilk Elektronik SA, introduces to the market new DDR3 modules in the beginning of this summer holiday. The memories with the capacity of 2GB, with the clock speed of 1600MHz (8-8-8-24), are available as single modules and also in Dual Channel (2x2GB) and Triple Channel (3x2GB) versions. The new series of GOODRAM Play has been built on selected Micron D9 chips and 6-layer PCBs. The chips are enclosed in black radiators, which not only look impressively, but also carry away excessive heat effectively. - GOODRAM Play is an answer to the needs of our clients, who wanted to have a better memory than standard 1333, at a much lower price than 2000MHz – explained Wiesław Wilk, CEO of Wilk Elektronik SA. Thanks to the clock rate of 1600 MHz and the capacity of 2GB, the new modules are suitable for the latest games, graphics software and advanced applications. GOODRAM Play series is fully compatible with AMD (AM3) and Intel motherboards (socket LGA 1156, 1366). The nominal power supply voltage starts from 1.65V, which translates into a 10% lower energy consumption as compared with DDR2 modules.These modules come with a lifetime guarantee from the producer, Wilk Elektronik SA.
